Brewmaster Toasts Workmanship,
Support from DSI Process Systems
Marc Gottfried,
Master Brewer at Morgan Street Brewery in St. Louis, Missouri says he
wishes DSI Process Systems was more involved when the popular Laclede's
Landing microbrew was built in 1995. But as an independent consultant to
the brewing industry, Marc regularly recommends DSI for all new
brew house projects for Morgan Street Brewery and other St. Louis
brewers.
Back at Morgan
Street Brewery, Marc often turns to DSI for fittings that can't be found
in a catalog. "It's the non-standard, odd size, custom-fabricated parts”
that make his daily work easier. “I tell DSI what I need and it fits
perfectly the first time.”
Challenging Work
Environment While the consistent quality of work impresses
him, the work itself sometimes upstages the end result. Recently a DSI
crew installed three new valves on the bottom of an existing brew tank
in quite a tight space. The available space allowed for nothing but “on
your back welding,” said Marc, adding “and it turned out great.” The
valve installation enables a more efficient cleaning schedule for the
brewery.

In addition
to
custom parts fabrication, Marc routinely orders standard equipment and
spare parts from DSI, often only using the size and description of the
items, because he trusts DSI's sales representatives understand
the industry and will get him what he needs quickly.

Gordon
Gosejohan, the DSI account manager for Morgan Street Brewery,
understands when customers need quality results quickly. "Quick response
leads to long term relationships," says Gosejohan, adding "Shared
expertise is invaluable to microbreweries. When we provide equipment,
process design and experienced installers in a timely manner, we give
our customers the tools to operate smoothly."
